In 1930 Dimitris Mavris established the first 'kafenion' in this area. In the old days, the 'kafenion' was a place similar to what a raki or ouzo tavern is today. His grandmother was a very talented cook and she soon became very popular through her specialties. People still remember her well! In 1985, the grandson Dimitris Mavris opened the taverna ZYGOS with his parents, George & Kalliopi. They had already inherited their valuable knowledge so together they continued the family tradition in food business with great success. Dimitris Mavris holds great respect for his work and his main concern is to keep his clients satisfied. In taverna ZYGOS, we only serve our own production of olive oil and raki. Welcome!
