Voulisma Beach is one of Crete’s most photographed stretches of coastline, known for its striking golden sand and crystal‑clear turquoise waters. Nestled beside the olive‑lined valley of Istron, the beach is flat, freely accessible and well organized with umbrellas, shade, chairs, saunas, a lifeguard, and a facility for guests to rent sun loungers, making it a comfortable destination for everyone. The beach is divided into two primary areas: the main strip near the road and the quieter western side, Hartalami Strand, tucked between the two Voulisma coves. The western side is especially pleasant when the waves stir up litter at the main beach during windy days, providing a less crowded alternative.
