Aelia comes from the Greek word Helios, which means sun. Nestled in a sunkissed Mediterranean olive grove, this newly created, adults-only hotel in Svoronata, Kefalonia, unites luxury and nature in one sophisticated, eye-catching package. With nine beautifully designed double rooms – seven of them swim up on the ground floor and two with fabulous sea views and a private jacuzzi on the first floor – this intimate resort epitomizes pared-back elegance while paying tribute to the concept of slow living. Designed to foster a connection with the surrounding landscape, the Aelia goes to great lengths to also ensure guests’ privacy and autonomy. Inside and outside there are subtle references to the local architectural tradition through natural materials and handmade constructions; while most furnishings are custom-made.
