About

The Museum's collection shows the perception of classic Greece from the Renaissance to the 20th century, and the birth and evolution of the romantic and philhellenic movement. Moreover, a wide range of paintings, objects and documents, from all over the world, testify the support that Philhellenes offered to Greece during the war of independence (1821-1829). The Museum presents the biggest collection of personal objects of Lord Byron and art inspired by Lord Byron's works.
