The J&G Villas complex consists of two luxurious villas, conveniently located in the picturesque village of Kolymvari in NW Crete, 22 km from the historical town of Chania and a short drive from the coast. Since the area is not a mass tourism destination, it has retained its original character and offers a unique combination of local, traditional and modern. Visitors may want to take the opportunity to meet locals, taste fresh seasonal products and regional specialties, walk along the seaside promenade and dine at family-run restaurants and taverns. There are numerous golden sand, crystal clear beaches with both popular and quieter spots to choose from, depending on your mood. The area also boasts many historical and archaeological sites, monasteries and museums. The village of Kolymvari has all necessary facilities, including supermarkets, bakeries, a post-office, bank and ATM machines, petrol stations and a doctor's office. There is frequent bus service to Chania and other towns as well as a convenient taxi stand. If you enjoy late nights out or shopping, the lively resort of Platanias is just a 10-minute drive away, while cosmopolitan Chania and its wider variety of shopping and entertainment is just 20 minutes away. The two villas, “Villa Filira” and its brand new sister “Villa Ianira”, enjoy a privileged hillside position overlooking Kolymvari Bay. They are absolutely independent of each other, with the former having been built on a spacious 5000 m² property and the later on a 3000 m² plot. Each of them is entirely fenced in, boasts its own infinity pool and is surrounded by lush olive groves and beautiful gardens. The villas’ architecture, color schemes, decoration and furnishings have taken their natural setting into account in order to provide guests looking for privacy and seclusion with the peace and serenity they desire. The villas’ oversized glass balcony doors and bay windows allow sunlight to flood in while opening onto verandas and patios and providing breath-taking panoramic views of the sea and mountains. The villas have been outfitted with comfortable, high quality furnishings which are at once cozy and elegant.
