Apartments Mathraki Resort started operating in 1979 with a small unit of 2 apartments. Owners George and Maria Argyros lived in New York and were working in Manhattan restaurants and dinners. When they returned to Corfu they had only one thing in mind: to create a job that would keep them there for good. The business got expanded with 22 more apartments, a swimming pool and a stone mill. The addition of the small tavern completed a beautiful holiday resort and brought them back to the job they love most: cooking! The menu includes local and international dishes prepared home-style as served for their own family. Speaking of family, sons Nikos and Dimitris also work for the family business. The name 'Mathraki' comes from a little island North-West of Corfu. It is a small paradise with a population of 80 to 100 people and home of the Argyros family.
