To Faragi
About
The real Crete still exists, where agriculture, not tourism remains the way of life and where the cretan sence of spirit and community still prevail. Centered around the old church of "Saint John Prodromos" with its 600 year old frescos, lies the village of Deliana, at the mouth of the dramatic and wild gorge of the same name. Located at the center of the village is our traditional tavern "To Faragi". Food grown on our own land is home cooked and served by our family and can be accompanied by local vilage produced wine. This is a rare chance to sample true cretan hospitality, far from the tourist trail. And while you are here, do take a walk in the gorge, where the majestic vultures "kanavos" will be your guide. Once you have visited our village, we are sure you will want to return.
