Terroir-Driven Wines and Historical Treasures: A Tour of Samartzis Estate Samartzis Estate Wines is a boutique winery located in Ascre that produces high-quality, terroir-driven wines from grapes harvested at privately owned vineyards in the neighboring Valley of the Muses. Wine tastings and tours are available year-round. During the tour, Panos Samartzis, the winemaker and co-owner of Samartzis Estate, will guide you through 4,500 years of history by visiting the Acropolis of Ascre, the Medieval Tower of the Catalans, and the 10th-century church at the foothills of Mount Elikonas.
