Starting from Naxos town and through the valley of Tragaia, we stop at the village of Damalas where we visit the pottery workshop. Next stop the village of Halki with its country houses, the Byzantine church of Panagia Protothroni and the citrus distillery. Then we visit the Old Market at Filoti, the largest village of the Cyclades. Next stop is Apiranthos village with its marble paved alleys. Passing by the villages of Koronos, Skado and Mesi, we arrive at the northern village of the island, Apollo, where there is an unfinished Kouros statue. Time for lunch and swimming. We return to town by the northwestern coastal road, where we find the Tower of Agia, the monastery of Faneromeni (17th cent.) and the village of Eggares, where we visit a restored olive press and taste some olive oil.
