Villa Asigonia is in Asi Gonia mountain village in a quiet and calm surrounding. With breathtaking views of the mountains and the beautiful valley. Traditional villa with respect for the Cretan architecture with stone built walls and wooden ceilings.. Villa Asigonia can accomodate up to 11 people and 2 babies. The property is 300 sq.m, standing on a 2,000sq. m plot surrounded by untamed nature. A 2-storey villa with 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and 2 dining areas, laundry room and a storage room. In the outdoor area there is an outdoor jacuzzi pool, an infinity swimming pool 40sqm. a children's pool. Indoor layout: Entering the villa there is the first, spacious living room with a stone arch separating it from the fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances, and a dining area with a handmade, wooden dining table. In the living room there is a cable and satellite TV and a working fireplace. The floor-to-ceiling doors let the glorious, greek sun come in and offer plenty of light in the house. An hallway leads you to the two bedrooms (the first with two singe beds, the second with king-size bed and a private en-suite bathroom), the main stone-built bathroom and the laundry room. All the rooms on the ground floor lead to the swimming pool area. A staircase guides you to the first floor where you can find a comfortable living room with cable and satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area with a marble fireplace. The numerous windows of the villa let you feel like you are outside and help you get the most out of the abundant, natural surroundings. A hallway drives you to the three bedrooms (the first with a king-size bed, the second with two singles and aen private en-suite bathroom and the third with two singles) and the main bathroom. All rooms have their own balcony with breathtaking views. All the rooms upstairs and downstairs have pool and mountain views. The furniture are all handmade from wood, marble matching with the traditional decoration. Outdoor layout: The plot is completely private with an outdoor jacuzzi pool not heated for 5 people to sit in, an infinity swimming pool 40sqm and a childrens pool. The swimming pool is infinity, which is designed to give the impression of merging with the horizon. The infinity pool water falls as a waterfall on the edge of the pool. Around the swimming pool area are sunbeds and umbrelles. While sitting outside you can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains and valley, due to the priviliged position of the villa. There is also a barbecue with charcoal with a pergola and a sink with a bench and a table for you to dine outside enjoying the spectacular nature. Furthermore there are a lot of sitting spots for you to admire different views. For our small guests entertainment there is a Playground covered with lawn. With spacious outdoor area for children to play. We have a 2-seater swing set for a baby & older children. Downstairs inside and outside areas are all accessible by wheelchair. As there are ramps for a wheelchair. A beautiful garden with trees, flowers,herbs, lawn. There are fruit trees for our guests in the backyard. A stone built water spring matching with the enviroment. WI-FI Internet access. Additionally a private parking area for 4 cars. When the sunset behind the mountain tops, the sun rays make a magnificent scenary. The villa is surrounded by wild nature with views of the beautiful valley, mountain peaks and nearby villages. What to do in Asigonia: *A peaceful and relaxing holiday, enjoying untamed nature. Exploring different places nearby by bicycle or hiking. The lots of water springs, the rich vegetation, the running mountain springs, the ravines, the small creeks, the continuous changes of the landscapes will fascinate you. Enjoy discovering the surrounding areas with green hills, olive groves, goat tracks the amazing local fauna, flora, herbs, wild flowers. *Participate in local marriages, activities, events, customs and traditions held in Asigonia. You will discover the real Cretan daily life and get to meet the locals. *Asigonia gorge is at the entrance to the village. Hiking through the gorge you will see many kinds of trees and bushes. *Outside the villa the road has a hiking route that leads to lots of exchanges of landscapes ending to a amazing sea view and lake Kournas. *Another hiking trail is high up in the mountains at an altitude of 900m were the shepherds have their sheep and goats, with panoramic views.
