Toplou Fabrica, an old olive stone mill was restored and renovated in order to give visitors the chance to experience the organic wines and spirits of Toplou Winery. Holy Monastery Cells are surrounded by olive groves & vineyards. Certified organic cultivation, with respect to the environment and minimum invasion necessary in vineyards, planted with indigenous and international grape varieties, to create wines that promote Cretan “terroir”. An area where the Cretan mountains meet the Mediterranean Sea. Sandy and clay soils are creating an environment so diverse for flora and fauna to thrive. Vineyards, olive groves and indigenous herbs co-exist with the biggest palm forest in Europe, Vai and the ancient town of Itanos and its sandy virgin beaches. A unique wine tasting experience at Toplou Fabrica, a place surrounded by history, where visitors will also have the opportunity to visit the Monastery and its museums.
