Only 100km away from the city of Thessaloniki, in the Gulf of Ierissos, there is the coastal resort of Stratoni Chalkidiki. The exotic beach of Karvounoskala is just outside the village, in a wonderful Gulf overlooking Mount Athos, the island of Thassos and, when the weather allows it, even the island of Samothrace.
