Aeropark is an open‑air aviation museum situated in the courtyard of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, dedicated to the rich history of Hungarian civil aviation. Its collection showcases iconic Soviet‑era aircraft—such as the Ilyushin IL‑14, IL‑18, Tupolev TU‑134 and TU‑154, Yak‑40, Antonov AN‑2, and numerous others—many of which are accessible in their original cockpits, allowing visitors to step inside and experience the cockpit first‑hand. Beyond the aircraft, the museum houses a highly interactive flight simulator, a gift shop stocked with plane models and Malév memorabilia, and a café offering refreshments amidst the aviation ambience. Aeropark goes beyond static displays by offering specialised airport tours. These guided experiences, conducted aboard Malév‑Ikarus buses, take visitors around the airport’s traffic‑front area, nearby runways, and the fire‑fighting base, with staged opportunities to step onto the tarmac and view aircraft take‑offs and landings up close. Museum admission tickets can be purchased on‑site or in advance. Visitors can reach Aeropark by the 200E bus from Kispest, by foot from central Budapest, or by car using the free visitor parking at the airport terminal.
