Dorko is a young and innovative streetwear brand. The name „Dorko” is rooted in the past, when the iconic retro sneakers were manufactured in the Dorog Rubber Plant in 1920. Later in the 1970s they were called as „dorko” shoes by the common language. When the foreign brands started to arrive one after the other due to the market liberalization, the legendary shoes started to fall into oblivion. But a group of young local designers didn’t want to let them fade away. In 2014 the Dorko shoes were reborn by the foundation of the Hungarian brand.
