Dear visitors, welcome to Komédiás – Café le Comédien our family owned traditional café – restaurant. As you could probably find out from our name, we were inspired by the 1920'-30' Budapest and Paris, those times when siting in a Café was a lifestyle. Komédiás is situated in the famous Budapest theater district, just a few steps away from the Opera house and Andrássy street. It's elegant and cosy, and although being a café the menu is quite large. Taste our Hungarian dishes (the goulash is excellent) or try one of the owners' recipe (matze-ball soup, fried goose legs or the Jewish style eggs). We are open for breakfast (we open at 10 a.m.), lunch and even for late dinner (kitchen closes at midnight). If the weather is good you can sit outside in the comfy armchairs and feel like a real Budapester. At nights our pianists will entertain you.
