About

The Astoria Theatre Cultural Association was founded by Katalin Lábán and Dezső Dobay in 1990. The cultural institution, which has been operating under the name RS9 Theatre at 9 Rumbach Sebestyén Street in District VII, Budapest, has become known and recognised abroad, as it achieved international success almost immediately after its foundation, even overseas. In addition to our theatre, in 2013 we opened our RS9+ Vallai Garden across the street at 10 Rumbach Sebestyén Street. This doubled the number of performances.
