About
Located in Debrecen's Great Forest, the oldest conservation area in Hungary, Zoo Debrecen opened in 1958 as the country’s first zoo outside the capital. Now covering a combined area of 17 hectares, the institution has a threefold mission as it includes a zoo, a botanical garden, and Hungary's only classic amusement park.
