We also run nature & well-being retreats to recharge and reconnect which incorporate bushcraft, wild kitchen and how to utilise nature for well-being, We are homegrown and rustic, a chance to recapture a by-gone time. Why Visit? Walkers, Hikers and Ramblers – We are located directly on the Koppany Valley Walking Trails with miles of footpaths to explore. Artists, Writers – Peace, inspirational landscape and as much solitude as you wish for. Nature Lovers – Triangulated by woodland, the Koppany River and rolling hills, we are in an area that has been left underdeveloped for wildlife, flora and fauna to create a unique habitat just bursting to be explored. Hobbiest – Butterflies, Birds and Insects, a whole array of species to seek-out and spot. Astronomers – We are in a dark skies area and with a clear sky the milky way is visable every night throughout the summer to spend an amazing night star gazing. Go Wilders – Foraging, outdoor cooking, bushcraft, natures larder – we love it all! Look up our Go Wild retreats and workshops. Nature Reconnection & Wellbeing in Nature – Recharge, Rebalance, Reconnection as a certified nature guide this is high on our agenda. Join one of our workshops or use our site for a self-guided re-balance. Off-Roaders (Motorcycles, bikes, quads) – Miles of terrain to explore with the TET within a short distance. Homesteaders (or wanna bes) – Come and share the love of this way of life. An idyllic escape from it all. Sit quietly and you have an almost 100 % chance to observe wild animals such as red deer, roe deer and fox. Beautiful birds and butterflies charm our surroundings. Some other interesting, rare animals that are readily seen are bee-eater, golden oriole, white-tailed eagle, raven, yellow-bellied toad, European pond turtle, stag beetle, alpine longhorn beetle, common glow-worm, praying mantis. Our village is a 5 minute stroll with a local shop (which closes at 10am) , a local Kocsma and access to public transport. Within a 20 minute walk is a private fishing lake available for our use and we have three thermal baths within a short drive. The southern shore of Lake Balaton is only 30 kilometers, Europe's largest freshwater lake offering cruises and a ferry offering a chance to discover the North shore, busy and bustling it's a stark contrast to the tranquility of the park, but great to explore all the same. There's castles, museums and obviously the chance to take a trip into Budapest.
