OPEN EVERY DAY FROM MAY 1.-OCTOBER 31. OPENING HOURS: 9.00-17.00 Privately owned stone collection located within a beautiful botanical garden. The stones were collected in Iceland by Mrs.Petra, who arranged them meticulously in her house and garden amongst the flowers for interested visitors to observe and enjoy. In the last decades Petra´s Stone Collection has been one of East Iceland most visited attractions. Hundreds of thousands of stones and minerals, most of which are from East-Iceland are on display in the collection. At Petra´s you can buy souvenirs made by the family. In Café Sunnó you can also get delicious soup, sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. We believe Petra´s Stone Collection to be the biggest privately owned stone collection in the world.
