About
The last of the Irish Bards, Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738), was buried in Kilronan Cemetery, just out of Keadue village, in County Roscommon, Ireland. There is an impressive entrance to the cemetery, with his name carved into a semi-circular stone mounted over the gate. The Cemetery is located around the ruins of a 14th century church, which itself was built upon the ruins of a previous Abbey
