Located in Ireland’s Ancient East nestled beneath the Blackstairs Mountains close to the picturesque village of Ballon, just 17km from Carlow town sits the enchanting 19th century Ballykealey House set in sweeping lush pastures. Built on gracious living of an elegant past today Ballykealey House combines that history with every modern convenience. We have 12 rooms in the main house, and a further 14 self catering lodges adjacent to the house. While the house is open Saturday & Sunday our Self catering lodges are open throughout the week Monday - Sunday. Saturday & Sunday we serve food in our dining areas and can cater for occasions and events in a number of private areas within the house. The former Lecky family home, today under new ownership and following extensive refurbishment guests will enjoy the relaxed and refined atmosphere of Ballykealey House.
