Velorail

Velorail is an outdoor activity that’s suitable for all the family. Visitors will begin their expedition at the Kiltimagh Station House. From there, they will travel approximately 5 kilometres across the old railway track, either Northbound, towards Bohola and Swinford, or Southbound, towards Claremorris. It is the first attraction of its kind in Ireland or the UK. It’s a fantastic use of an amenity that had been lying idle for over 60 years. There are three different railbikes available to book. A four-seater with all passengers pedalling, a five-seater, targeted for families with young children as the two back seats have pedals whereas the front three do not. Finally, there is a two-seater with space available to clamp down a standard wheelchair, making Velorail a truly inclusive activity. Each railbike requires a lead rider of 18+ and a secondary rider of 16+.
