Belleek Pottery & Visitor Centre
About
Belleek Pottery & Visitor Centre – home to one of the world’s oldest working ceramics factories, blending history and art in a picturesque setting on the River Erne. Founded in 1857 as Belleek Porcelain and now owned by George G. Moore, the factory produces signature Parian ware, celebrated for its delicate, iridescent finish. Guided tours offer an immersive look at the full production process from raw clay to finished glaze, allowing visitors to witness craftsmen hand‑mould, air‑dry, stamp and fire the iconic green‑shaped bottles that are now collector’s items. The visitor centre extends beyond the kilns, with an on‑site tearoom, exhibition halls showcasing the pottery’s evolution, and a children’s activity area where guests can try their hand at casting and glazing. The site’s riverside location and historic stone architecture create a tranquil backdrop for exploring Ireland’s rich ceramic heritage.
