At Waltons New School of Music, one of Ireland's most renowned music schools, you can immerse yourself in a world of authentic Irish traditional music with a one-hour Bodhrán or Tin Whistle Taster class. Designed for absolute beginners of all ages and running since 1999, our Irish Music Tasters have introduced hundreds of people from all over the world to the beautiful melodies and infectious rhythms of Irish music. We also offer combined Bodhrán and Tin Whistle Tasters, as well as a one-hour Introduction to Irish Music. And we offer Intensive Lessons in a range of Irish traditional instruments, for musicians and music students at all skill levels. Because our Tasters take place in a music school rather than a pub, they are suitable for all ages – and families are welcome to take one together. Bookings should be made at least 24 hours in advance, 48 hours in advance if you would like to include instruments.
