A location like no other building in Dublin, The chq Building overlooks the River Liffey and George's Dock. The chq Building is a grade one listed building situated within the heart of the city's bustling International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in the Docklands. Formerly known as Stack A, it was built in 1820 as a wine and tobacco warehouse with vaults beneath to store wine. Formerly known as Stack A, the building was made famous when it hosted the Crimean War Banquet in 1856 celebrating the return of 3,000 Irish soldiers. The building has been magnificently restored and revamped. It is home to Dogpatch Labs, Ireland most famous and iconic co-working space for technology start-ups. It is also home to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, a magnificent high tech and immersive/interactive visitor experience to suits all ages. It focuses on the story of Irish emigration over the centuries through the people who left and their descendants.
