About
The Triumphal Arch was originally built in 1813 and was used as an entrance to the Custom House, located just 2 minutes west along the river. Today it stands opposite the entrance to EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum in The chq Building, and beside George's Dock by the Custom House Quay side of the Liffey. It was moved to its present location in 1998 as part of the re-development of the area. The arch is an impressive piece of masonry, and is one of the more recognisable landmarks in the Docklands area.
