Muckno Lodge is a charming 4 star Bord Failte approved Self Catering Cottage, with five bedrooms, catering for up to 10 guests.Located in the heart of the appropriately named “Killarney of the North”, Muckno Lodge is situated beside the tranquil Lough Muckno, a favorite of keen anglers, and the newly developed and increasingly renouned Concra Wood Golf & Country Club. Not only this, but the property also boasts a small lake, called the Black Lake, to the rear of the cottage, on site, which is ideal for coarse fishing. Visitors will experience a little bit of Irish history during their stay, as Muckno Lodge was originally a game keepers cottage built on the Bath Estate in 1869 during the Plantations. Although fully restored, Muckno Lodge has retained it's original charm with features such as the original old stone exterior which has been restored to its original state and the Bath Estate Coat of Arms above the door. One of the most charming aspects of the accomodation however is the traditional open-hearth fireplace featuring the old skillet pot hanging from a traditional old-style crane which has been fully restored. The accomodation can sleep up to 10 guests with 3 double bedrooms (1 ensuite) and two twin-single rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and seperate dining room and two living areas. An attractive patio area overlooks your very own private lake in the countryside. For fishing and water sports enthusiasts there is also outdoor drying room & storage facilities for wet-gear & fishing bait.
