The Black Sheep Hostel & Coffee Shack, a newly renovated 150 year old Georgian building. We are situated in the heart of Killarney town, one of Ireland’s number one tourist destinations. Located only one minute walk from the World famous Killarney National Park and only one minute walk from the centre of the town. You won’t be short of things to do by day or night. The hostel has it’s own south facing secret garden with organic veggies and free range chickens and ducks. Guest are free to roam the garden and chill in the patio or bbq area. Inside the hostel there are private rooms and dorms with pod style beds which are made from recycled pallets. There is a relaxing lounge with an open fire, leather couches and a communal guitar where guests are encouraged to meet fellow travelers. The hostel has an eco-friendly outdoor ethos and we love to meet fellow backpackers who love nature and the outdoors. The hostel can cater for groups of up to 36 people and arrange activities and tours for the surrounding area. The Black Sheep is not only a hostel, but a coffee shack too. Serving single origin specialty coffee from around the World. Our coffee shack has long been enjoyed by both hostel goers and locals. One of our main values is to support local businesses so along with coffee from local roasters, Golden Bean you will also find; Real Bread Killarney, Cinnamon Rolls and Lorge Handmade Chocolate. All to be experienced after an adventurous day out in Killarney National Park or the perfect pre-adventure snack!
