Co. Longford Golf Club was founded in 1894 and has been warmly welcoming visitors ever since. The golf club is located on the outskirts of Longford town on the Dublin Road (R393) and is a little over an hour from Dublin. The course which was totally redesigned in May 2005, is now one of the finest, mature parkland courses in Ireland with mature trees, and some water features. The course is over 6700 yards in length and with a par 72. While the 18th is the par 5 signature hole, where your approach to the green is over water, there are many other memorable holes. The course enjoys spectacular panoramic views over the town and surrounding countryside. Trolley and buggy hire are available and the pro shop is fully stocked. Also, the fine clubhouse has an excellent bar with catering. Golf lessons are available from the club professional, Pete Duignan. Come and visit us.
