About
Tucked away at the top of Slieveanore, crisscrossed by gushing streams in the midst of mossy riparian woodland, is a magical hide-away for you & your family to escape it all & immerse yourselves in nature. Wander through the woods, take a dip in the cool water or simply lie back in a hammock & let your senses soak up the beauty of the world around you. As the sun sets, the stars emerge in the unspoilt sky while you cosy up with toasted marshmallows by the flickering flames of the fire pit. You'll be bedding down in one of our 5m bell tents. Each tent comes with a double bed with the option of two floor mattresses for extra guests. The tents have solar powered lighting and have enough power to charge a phone. Each tent has basic cooking facilities (e.g. a camp stove with access to utensils and pots) and its own fire pit. A kitchen cabin, composting toilets and shower units are located close by. Located within Ireland’s largest Hen Harrier conservation area, it is a bolthole for the local deer as well as home to a myriad of native Irish species such as red squirrels, pine martens and hares. There are even some wild horses! Demoiselle damselflies and butterflies dance upon the wind while the thrill and coo of birdsong fills the air.
