About

Annie McGinn’s Pub was bought my her father Hugh McGinn in 1912. The name H. McGinn is still above the door. The pub is a quaint traditional Irish Pub located in Newbliss, a small rural village in Co. Monaghan. Annie & her brother Michael ran the pub for many years & Annies nephew Mícheál kept it going after her passing in 2012. The pub has always had a lovely local custom and would also enjoy visits from residents staying at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig. The pub was bought by Kieran & Emily Quigley in March 2017. They have kept it running and intend to keep the traditional feel to the place. A Piano, along with other instruments have been added to ‘The Kitchen’ where a little jubilee cooker keeps the cosy feel. An extensive gin, whiskey & wine menu are now available alongside a wide range of spirits & beers. The pub opens on the weekend but is available for groups who can book it for events & functions such as Stag & Hen parties, weddings photographs, etc.
