Christ Church is member of the Church of Ireland (Anglican / Episcopal), diocese of Killala. Christ Church built in 1764, with funds provided by Lewis Irwin of Tanrego, as the Church of Ireland church for Dromard parish which covers just under 5,000 acres in a narrow strip of good land between the Ox Mountains and the sea at the very east end of the Diocese of Killala and the Barony of Tireragh. In 1818, with a loan of £600 from the Board of First Fruits, it was enlarged by the addition of shallow north and south hipped roof transepts. It is not visible from the main N59 as its surrounded by trees. Regular Sunday services at 10:00am
