LOCATED in the Ashe Memorial Hall adjacent to Tralee Town Park, we offer a fascinating introduction to the Kingdom’s distinctive history and heritage. Winner of many prestigious awards, the Museum offers a wide range of permanent displays and special exhibitions. CASEMENT IN KERRY: A REVOLUTIONARY JOURNEY commemorates Roger Casement’s landing in Banna in 1916, one of the significant events of the Easter Rising to happen outside of Dublin. Countless artefacts on display in the MUSEUM GALLERY illustrate the turbulent history and fascinating archaeology of the county. You can even dress up as Tom Crean, Kerry’s most famous explorer, in the ANTARCTICA EXHIBITION. Become an archaeologist in the museum’s exciting tactile exhibition BONE INVESTIGATORS. Travel back in time and relive life in Tralee in 1450 in the MEDIEVAL EXPERIENCE. Dress up in costume and stroll through the reconstructed medieval streets and houses complete with the sounds and smells of the era - a treat for all the family!
