The 18-hole par 72 championship golf course is situated on a 310 acre private Island minutes from Waterford City, with the Resort offering family friendly lodges and a luxury Castle hotel. Designed by Des Smyth, former Ryder Cup Player & Vice Captain, the course combines the best of parkland and woodland areas including numerous scenic and strategically challenging features. In addition to the par-72, 6,814-yard golf course covering an area of over 200 acres, Waterford Castle Golf Club features a 300-yard driving range, practice green and short game area with chipping and putting greens. Visitors can enjoy dining options at the adjoining Kings Channel Golf Clubhouse, which also features a function room for private events and men's and ladies locker rooms.
