The Alpine is a super cute cafe in Douglas. We specialise in healthy salads, nutritious soups, chunky sandwiches, big breakfasts and tasty cakes. Every weekend the cafe transforms into a pop up restaurant with an ever changing menu. We do everything from Soul Food to Caribbean, French to Turkish. Whatever's in season, whatever's tasty, whatever tickles our (and your) fancy. The Alpine is run by husband and wife team Melanie and Simon with their lovely staff. Melanie spent her childhood summers in Portugal, riding on the backs of mopeds, seeking out the best places to pick the juiciest peach or hunting for razor clams on remote beaches. That education in finding the tastiest ingredients has informed the philosophy of The Alpine. We make the food we love to eat ourselves. Everything is fresh, local wherever possible and designed to make you feel good.
