Oasi Fiume Alento

About

Located in the National Park of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni, the Alento River Oasis is inside a Community Importance Site of 3,024 hectares. An earth dam placed along the course of the Alento river, has created an artificial lake of about 1,7 square kilometers. Situated along the banks of the river, the Oasis includes several ponds(of high ecological value) which contribute to preserve the biodiversity through environmentally sustainable activities. The integrity of the natural habitat of the Oasis (Unesco World Heritage Site) is a special attraction for families, schools and sports lovers. Educational workshops, boat trips, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding paths, archery, are just some of the various possibilities offered by the Oasis. The Oasis open spaces are ideal to enjoy the life in a natural environment, away from the smog and city chaos.
