Castello di Lajone

The Lajone Castle was built in 1624 when Annibale Guttuario made a "cappellania" in the area. From a simple building becomes first an elegant house then a Castle rich in possessions that various nobles tried to obtain. The visit will bring you to discover the frescoed halls enriched with golden consoles, a golden throne and crystal chandeliers, pictures from '800 and '700 with religious subject and portraits. Going down in the winery you can see the "bocche di lupo" and the typical "infernott". Going out you can stroll in the park with calodendron recurrens, Hispanic pine tree, Japanese sofora and oaks, flower beds, statues and a pool.
