Near Falcade, in the heart of the splendid Belluno Dolomites, surrounded by the peaks of the Marmolada Group, Mount Civetta, Mount Agner and Pale di San Martino, Vallada Agordina community has preserved the Church of Santi Simone e Giuda Taddeo since ancient times. Hidden treasure chest of spirituality, art and culture, built before 1185, over the centuries it has been adorned by the People of the Valle del Biois, like a loved and loving mother, by valuable works of art: a sign of profound culture but above all of devotion and affection. National Monument since 1877, it preserves the awesome cycle of frescoes by Paris Bordon (1500-1571) pupil of Titian Vecellio. Albino Luciani, the future Pope John Paul I, attended it since his childhood, celebrated the Mass there and taught catechism to the valley churchgoers
