Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso
About
Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso is a sprawling alpine wilderness that spans the Aosta Valley and Piedmont regions of Italy. Established in 1922, it was the country’s first national park and remains a flagship for wildlife conservation, particularly for the iconic Alpine ibex, chamois and a diverse avian community. Visitors can explore a network of more than 700 kilometres of well‑maintained trails, climb scenic peaks, and learn about alpine flora and fauna at the park’s visitor centres and the Paradisia Alpine Botanical Garden. Guided hikes, wildlife observation tours and educational programmes are offered year‑round, making the park an appealing destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and avid hikers alike. With its unspoiled landscapes and free access, the park offers an authentic, immersive experience of the high Alps.
