The Antica Dimora Borgunto is an apartment located inside an old palazzo distinguished by features that awaken echoes of the past; the typical wooden beamed ceilings and original masonry of the house, with some parts of the wall in bare brick, bring evocative atmospheres of bygone times to mind... We offer modern comfort in the tranquillity of a charming setting chosen by Roberto Benigni to shoot scenes of his multi-Oscar winning film "La Vita e Bella". The apartment is just 20m from the famous Piazza Grande, which opens out in the heart of the medieval town; an evocative and unique atmosphere hangs in the air... a splendid succession of old houses with wooden balconies, pastel colours and crenellated towers of fairytale majesty... This romantic, spectacular view can be enjoyed from the three windows of the Antica Dimora Borgunto living hall: five rooms expertly and elegantly furnished with carefully chosen fabrics, colours, precious objects and antiques that define a sophisticated aesthetic taste. Not only can you admire breathtaking views, but twice a year you can enjoy the historical jousting event Giostra del Saracino, an ancient game of chivalry dating back to the Middle Ages, or just wander around the alleys that play venue to the Antiques Fair held on the first Sunday of every month.
