About
Camaldoli was founded one thousand years ago by Saint Romuald, and is a Community of Benedictine monks. There are two houses, the Hermitage and the Monastery, immersed into the depths of the forest. They represent the two fundamental dimensions of monastic experience, solitude and communion. The monastic community is dedicated to the quest for God, prayer and work, and is open to sharing with men and women of today, mostly through hospitality. The Guest House offers an open space for spiritual and cultural research, for dialogue and meetings.
