A short distance from the Via Emilia, between the provinces of Modena and Bologna, the "La Lupa" offers hospitality in renovated rooms plus a swimming pool and whirlpool enrich the context in which it is located, and thanks to the striking expanse flowering fruit trees, with extended gardens, you will find yourself immersed in nature. The origin of the name comes from the medieval place names: "Mazzalova" or "Mazzalupa". The lord of the castle Canetolo then, provident to kill the wolf; due to this fact, it has changed over time the charm of the legend, the place was called "Mazzalupa", a term designating the fenced area where the trap was captured precisely the beast and that was exactly where now stands the company farm. "La Lupa" was founded in 1989, as part of an estate that dates from the nineteenth century. The complete and accurate restoration of the buildings has enhanced the original rustic architecture, accentuating the charm of the atmosphere.
