Cistern of renaissance period (1564), made by Tommaso Laureti (a palermitan architect), was realized to supply the Neptune’s Fountain. The construction is formed by a main octagonal tank, by four blind ducts which forward into the hill and by three containment cisterns, connected with each other. You can see a very high chimney of considerable beauty, fully covered by secular calcareous scalings.
