Gasthof zu Tschotsch
About
The Gasthof zu Tschotsch (750 m) is part of the landscape surrounding the village of St. Oswald. Many products come from the farm (beef, potatoes, vegetables, aromatic herbs, etc.). Also red and white vine is made at the farm. There's a 300-year-old ‘Bauernstube’ (farmer’s parlor) and a farming museum where you will find testaments to the hard work as well as the life and beliefs of the land folk of the past. For the small guests there are a playground and lots of farm animals (horses, cows, rabbits, cats, and a pet pig). The farmstead and guesthouse are perfectly situated to undertake simple or more challenging hikes (the gondola to the Seiser Alm takes a few minutes to reach with the free shuttle bus), but cities, villages, and castles are also within reach.
