Le Due Spade
About
Le Due Spade is a cozy, family‑run bistro tucked in the historic center of Bardi, just steps from the town’s medieval castle. The restaurant is the brainchild of chefs Massimo Berzolla and Daniela Fulgoni—a couple whose love for Italian cuisine and dedication to local produce led them on a culinary journey from the English countryside back to their hometown. Every dish is made from fresh, seasonal ingredients, with an emphasis on regional treasures such as truffles, Parmigiano‑Reggiano, and Bardi’s prized mushrooms. Guests can enjoy a menu that blends classic Emilian fare with contemporary twists. The lunch offering features an assortment of handmade pastas, hearty stews and a variety of cured meats, while the evening menu introduces fresh seafood dishes drawn from Massimo’s hand‑picked fish supply. A seasonal fish menu is also available on Fridays, and a set menu offers dining at a reasonable price. All dishes are accompanied by a carefully curated wine collection curated from local vineyards and beyond. Le Due Spade opens for lunch from 12:00 to 14:00, and for dinner from 19:00 to 21:30 with the last order at each table at 14:00 and 21:30 respectively. The restaurant stays open on most days of the year, although it closes for its summer break each Monday evening and Saturday during the winter season. The charming, informal atmosphere combined with attentive service and a dedication to quality make it a favourite for families, couples and food lovers alike.
