The Plattkofel Hut in Campitello di Fassa (Trentino) is located at 2,300m above sea level on the Frederick Augustus Trail on Alpe di Siusi. It is open from June to mid-October and can be reached in 2-3 hours by foot or mountain bike. The hut is a base for hiking, climbing, and mountain bike tours, and offers the possibility to stay overnight and enjoy traditional cuisine. Open daily. The menu features regional dishes made with products from the own farm and fields - e.g., homemade dumplings, meat from the own farm, as well as fresh vegetables and salad. South Tyrolean desserts like apple strudel are also offered. Directly in front of the hut, children can find a small playground, a slackline, and a meadow to play. The Plattkofel Hut is a strategic starting point for tours in the Dolomites and offers simple but good food in an alpine setting.
