Our name 'Il Polivere' literally means the 'hill of the free ones'. Legend has it that the ancient Romans who living in this area, used to grant freedom to their most deserving slaves. The farmhouse has recently been thoroughly restored to its original rural country style. The stone structure of its main 3-floor building has been brought back to its original beauty and most of its traditional agricultural activities reinstated. Il Polivere offers its guests a relaxing unforgettable break from it all. and it is also only a few kilometres from the most important historical cities such as, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Città della Pieve, Perugia, Parrano, San Casciano dei Bagni and Cetona. And to make our guests stay simply perfect, a large, natural spring water swimming pool and a meticulously cared for garden will offer moments of pure bliss.
