MUDESC is a university museum that was established in 2009 as an offshoot of the Center for Documentation and Research on the History of Scholastic Books and Children's Literature. The museum is named after Paolo and Ornella Ricca, who donated their collection of books, notebooks and other school objects to the University in 2009. collects, preserves and communicates the various sources (written, material and oral) that testify to the history of Italian schooling from the Unification to the 1970s-1980s. To achieve this goal, the museum communicates the results of the Macerata University's scientific research through cultural events and educational services for different audiences.
