Located on the picturesque shores of Lake Lugano in the charming village of Melide, Swissminiatur is Switzerland’s largest open‑air miniature park. With more than 130 meticulously crafted models at a 1:25 scale—including iconic Swiss landmarks, trains, boats and funiculars—visitors are transported into a detailed miniature landscape that mirrors the country’s diverse scenery. An expansive 3,560‑meter miniature railway winds through the park, featuring 18 electric trains that glide past historic towns, quaint cafés and lush gardens. Families, train enthusiasts and history lovers alike will revel in the interactive exhibits, playground, and guided tours that bring Swiss heritage to life. The park also offers a Take‑Away café serving sandwiches, pastries, gelato and cold drinks, as well as a souvenir shop stocked with miniature collectibles for the perfect keepsake.
