Situated in S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene in the heart of the Prosecco di Valdobbiadene e Conegliano wine production area, our winery mainly produces sparkling wines. We like to think the company history dates back to 1542, year in which, as is written in the Archive of the State of Treviso, a wine grower by the name of Zan Bortolin, resident of S. Stefano di Valdobbiadene, cultivated 17 plots of land and produced 2,000 litres of wine. Since 1950 the Bortolin brothers have been setting up the winery to be able to produce sparkling wines with the Charmat method; in that period they bought their first autoclaves and modern bottling machines. Since then, their search for quality that aims at innovation while maintaining tradition has brought them to continuously update their vinification methods and equipment.
